May Blog HOP for Scrap Whispers

Scrapwhispers Blog Hop (Making Bows)

Georgina made a wonderful tutorial up using extra paper scraps to make an adorable easy to do BOW.  Check out the full tutorial at the Scrap Whispers Site.

This is an easy little bow to make as well using up scraps, I use it often for gifts and mini-albums.

Come on over to Scrapwhispers on May 15 to check out our blog hop; that each design team member will show their lift of Georginas Bow.

Start out at Scrapwhispers
Have fun checking out all the BOWS, and leave a comment on each of the sites, I am sure you will enjoy them.

PS: Blogger outages did a real number on my blog, I apologize for that.  The post that was set to show yesterday on May 15, disappeared into ummm well Blogger.

Welcome to Scrap Whispers National Scrapbooking Day!

Welcome to Scrap Whispers National Scrapbooking Day:

Here is a special family recipe that has been in my family for years.  I thought I should scrapbook it for all heritage purposes and the added bonus is that it is in my Moms own handwriting.  That will be very special in the years to come.

In order to participate in this challenge for Scrap Whispers National Scrapbooking day you must do the following:

1) Scraplift my LO of a family recipe any way you want.  Maybe a similar recipe, maybe the same colors, maybe the handwriting.  Any way you wish.
2) You have to link back your completed challenge  to Scrap Whispers main blog
3) In order to be eligible for my BLOG CANDY you need to become a follower of mine ; over on the side, and you have to answer this question in a comment below:  What is one food that you detest and one food you love?

Scrapwhispers March Bloghop

Thank you in participating in this my first ever blog hop. The tutorial for this month is how to make the fantastic flowers you see above. They are so pretty and add a touch of whimsy and color to any of your scrapbooking.

I am taking part in a circle journal and have used the heart flowers on my title page, and the spiral flowers and daisys on my definition page. I changed things up just a little by using a scalloped circle for some of the spiral flowers and I didn't use any brads.

Be sure to check out the actual tutorial here: http://scrapwhispers.blogspot.com/p/jan-2010.html

There is a great prize up for grabs for participating.

Please visit each of our Design Team member blogs, and leave a comment on each one and leave a comment on the main tutorial blog on the Scrapwhisper site in order to be eligible for the prize.

Our design team question this month: "What is your favorite scrapping style?"

I am mainly a linear scrapper, multi photo, journalling storyteller. Thats my style.

The Scrapwhispers blog has a new look and there are some big changes happening to the site in April,

you will be thrilled with all that we are preparing for you!

(Seeing as this is my first, if it doesn't work, please let me know.)

A Canadian in the USA

These were taken at the upper falls in Yellowstone park last August.  My daughter a Canadian loved being tall enough to touch the huge flags that were hanging at the gift shop.

Late Fathers Day Present

I started this for Fathers Day, got stuck on the embellishments, and finally finished it last night. PSA - if you take your chipboard outside to glimmer mist, because you cannot find your splat mat, well keep an eye on it, cause apparently magpies are attracted to the shimmer. LOL

Scrapping while watching AI

In a photo class last year we were practising depth of field, I shot this picture inside a dark room trying to practice. I loved it, even though the teacher bashed it in front of everyone.

DD in her grade 2 school picture. Using the October 2008 kit from Scraptivity, and a sketch from 52 sketches/52 weeks.

The MY SPOT layout is for a challenge over at Scrap Whispers for this week. My friend from OZ, Jenny, took the photos when she came to visit me.

Last night was the season finale of AI and Criminal Minds, what better thing to do than scrap.
