Sweet & Sour

This was done for CHallenge #2 at Scraptivity, for the Scrap Around the World in 80 Days. We visited Morrocco and the challenge was to use the rich deep colors of the spices.

I used May's kit from Scraptivity for the paper, added some Maya Road scroll chipboard to accent the wheat in the photo, and some buttons, inks, and distress stickles.

Scrapping while watching AI

In a photo class last year we were practising depth of field, I shot this picture inside a dark room trying to practice. I loved it, even though the teacher bashed it in front of everyone.

DD in her grade 2 school picture. Using the October 2008 kit from Scraptivity, and a sketch from 52 sketches/52 weeks.

The MY SPOT layout is for a challenge over at Scrap Whispers for this week. My friend from OZ, Jenny, took the photos when she came to visit me.

Last night was the season finale of AI and Criminal Minds, what better thing to do than scrap.

Scraptivity’s Scrap Around The World In 80 Days Contest!

Contest Starts – Monday, May 11, 2009
Final date to sign up – You may miss 1 out of the 8 challenges, so even if you miss Challenge #1 you can sign up all the way until the last day of Challenge #2 as long as you complete #2 that day. The closing date of #2 is May 30th.
Contest Ends – Wednesday, July 29, 2009

Challenges – A new challenge/country will be posted every 10 days. Leading up to each one, there will be clues posted, so you can guess which country we’ll be visiting, just for fun

Passport – We will provide a Passport image. Everyone can use this to keep track of their completed challenges. We’ll also provide a “passport stamp” image for each country. As you complete the project for that country, add the stamp to your Passport. You can do it digitally if you have software for that, or you can print out your Passport, then print out each stamp, cut it out, and stick it on. Please upload your updated Passport to the gallery each time you complete a challenge and delete your old one.

Tracking - There will be a thread posted in the contest section of the forum for each challenge/country. Participants will need to upload their project to the gallery (file size under 100 k and less than 500x500 pixel image sizes) and post a link or IMG on that country’s thread. Also, include the link or IMG for your updated Passport in the thread when you post your project image.

Where to upload your project and Passport – There is a special section set up in the Gallery to keep track of this contest. It is here:
http://www.scraptivity.com/show/showgallery.php?cat=726

Rules – Participants must have an account in the Scraptivity forum to be able to post. No purchase is necessary. All project images must be uploaded by the deadline for that challenge to be included. Projects may be scrapbook layouts or other items, and this will be specified when the challenge is posted. Participants may miss one out of the eight challenges. By signing up, participants agree to abide by the rules of the contest as stated above, and the rules of the Scraptivity forum.
